Merrill A. LONGACRE

Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Longacre have received a telegram from the War Department stating that their son, Pfc. Merrill A. Longacre was seriously wounded in action in Belgium on Jan. 8, 1945. The extent of his injuries was not known. Longacre was serving with the U. S. Paratroopers and has seen much action. (Photo submitted by Wayne Taylor)

Merrill Longacre was a son of Benjamin F. and Effie (Kohler) Longacre. He served in the military during World War II and was wounded.

Merrill was my father and I remember his bullet ridden body not knowing it was by the grace of God he survived the war.
