OBITUARY FOR HERMAN "MANNY" KEPNER
Herman C. (Manny) Kepner, 72, R.D.2. Port Royal, Pa. died Sunday morning, March 2. 1980 at his late residence.
He was born September 8. 1907 in Turbett Township, Juniata County, the son of the late Lloyd S. Kepner and Margaret Yocum Kepner. R.D.2, Port Royal.
He is survived by his wife, Laentena Brackbill Kepner, R.D.2. Port Royal: two sons. Richard E. Kepner, R.D.1. Port Royal and Dennis W. Kepner, Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. John (Gloria) Deira. R.D.I, Thompsontown, and Miss Janet R. Kepner, at home: one brother, .John A. Kepner, R.D.2 Port Royal: five sisters. Mrs. Joseph (Florence) Hunter of R.D.4 Lewistown, Mrs. Esther Guyer of Thompsontown, Mrs. Charles Pearl; Freed of R.D.1 McClure, Mrs. Goldie Bathursi of Middleburg and Mrs. Alvena Campbell of Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren.
He was retired from the Pa. Railroad having worked with track maintenance. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of W.W.II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Mexico.
The funeral will be field today at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal with the Rev. G. Edward Cornelius officiating.
Interment will be in New Church Hill Cemetery. Port Royal.
