Warren J. Groninger was a son of James N. and Mary Alice (Hertzler) Groninger. He was born September 19, 1885 and died April 15, 1975.

He was a sargeant in the Army during World War I.

Although he was raised in Turbett Twp., Juniata Co., PA, he spent much of his adult life in California.
