Lawrence Sharpless Beale was the son of David McConnell and Victoria (Sharpless) Beale. He was born December 20, 1912 and died December 29, 1968.
He married Donetta Delores Knotts and they had three children.
Lawrence was a 1933 graduate of Port Royal High School. He served as a cannonier in the army during World War II. He was injured when the tank he was in went off an embankment in Belgium,
