Joe Moyer is the son of the late Harold "Whitey" and Myrtle Kline Moyer. He was raised on the Moyer Farm in Port Royal and graduated from Tuscarora Valley High School.
Joe married Mary Katsonis and they had two children, Sara and Daniel (deceased).

GAZEBO DEDICATED AT MOYER PARK: On May 27, 2012 Moyer family members came to Port Royal for a memorial service for Myrtle Kline Moyer, who donated the land for the Moyer Park about 20 years ago in memory of her husband Harold "Whitey" Moyer. The gazebo was dedicated in memory of Daniel J. Moyer, son of Joe and Mary Moyer and grandson of "Whitey" and Myrtle Moyer.
