"Lucy" was born to Roy A. and Dorothy Sheesley Whitesel on November 22, 1942. She attended Cedar Grove Elementary school and graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1960. In 1964 she received a B.S. from Shippensburg State College (Shippensburg University) and began teaching in the Juniata school District after that.
Lucy maried Wayne Taylor in 1964 and they have two children, Todd and Suzanne, and have additionally been blessed with five grandchildren. She taught elementary school for twenty-five years, retiring in 1998.
Lucy enjoys her family, traveling, reading, and tennis.
