OBITUARY FOR JESSIE BOYER SHEARER SENFT

JESSIE B. SENFT of Mifflin, Juniata County, died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 1992 at Locust Grove Retirement Village Mifflin. She was 83.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and volunteered for the American Heart Association. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens of September House, the Widow's Support Group, and Chapter 24 of the American Association of Retired Persons.

Mrs. Senft retired from York Hospital, where she was a head cook for nine years.

Born in Port Royal, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Lucian R. and Bertha M. Groninger Boyer.

She was the wife of the late Grover C. Senft. [There was a previous marriage to Warren "Mo" Shearer. All daughters were from the first marriage.]

She leaves three daughters, Dorothy Jane Rearich, York, Barbara E. Horstick, Dover, DE, and Mary Ann "Susie" Hoover, Port Royal; A step-daughter, Phyllis Zuch, Newark, DE; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Boyer Sr., Port Royal, and Walter Boyer, Urania, LA.

Services were held Tuesday at the Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home Inc., with Rev. James M. Emerick, associate pastor, officiating. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
