Herman "Herm" Charles Towsey, 71, of Port Royal, died Sunday morning, July 11, 2004, at his home.
Born October 6, 1932 in Turbett Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Herman W. "Jack" Towsey and Norine A. [Fuller] Towsey.
He is survived by two brothers, Donald J. Towsey of Mechanicsburg and John W. Towsey of Port Royal, RR3, two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by one nephew.
He was a retired fingerprint technician, having worked for the FBI in Washington, DC.
He was a 1950 graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School, Port Royal and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Post No. 5863, Mifflintown, and American Legion Post No. 177, Newport.
The funeral was held Saturday at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Carol A. Hertler officiating. Interment was in McCullochs Mills Cemetery, Tuscarora Township, Juniata County.
