OBITUARY for Lilly Blanche (Campbell) Moyer, 92, of Port Royal, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born July 11, 1930, in Lack Township, Juniata Co., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Culbertson) Campbell. Her husband, Paul S. Moyer, died on Aug. 5, 1985.
She is survived by one daughter, Miriam “Mim” Anstine and her husband, John Jr., of Port Royal, one son, Dennis E. Moyer and wife, Carol, of Duncannon, four grandchildren Chad Moyer, Aaron Anstine and wife, Lisa, Corey Moyer and wife, Shannon, and Alicia Seigler and husband, Justin, and four great-grandchildren, Samuel Moyer, Adalyn Anstine, Owen Seigler, and Vivian Seigler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Shellenberger, one brother, Carl Campbell, and her companion, Brooks Thatcher.
She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1948 and worked as a teller at the First National Bank in Port Royal. Blanche and her husband co-owned and operated Juniata Lanes, Mifflintown.
She was a member of Port Royal Lutheran Church and Mifflin Chapter No. 260 Order of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds, sewing, quilting, gardening, and canning. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Port Royal Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating. Interment will be in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
There will be a visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
The family will provide all flowers and requests that contributions be made in Blanche’s memory to the Port Royal Lutheran Church Project Fund, PO Box 267, Port Royal, PA 17082.

BRIDGE REPLICA RETURNS TO PORT ROYAL: This replica of the Mayer-Lehman Covered Bridge will return to Port Royal for the Bicentennial Celebration. The replica appeared in the Sesqui-Centennial Parade of 1962 as the Bashore Hardware float. The replica had been in Michigan since moved there from the Clint Bashore property in the late 1960s.
