Mary A.J. Geedey, 83, of Mifflintown, PA, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Bridges at Brookllne, Mifflintown.
Born on July 12, 1935 in Beale Twp., Juniata Co., she is a daughter of the late David and Olive (Yocum) Yeater.
On April 15, 1954, she was married to her surviving husband, Raymond B. Geedey, with whom she was blessed to share almost 65 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Rick Geedey and wife Matilda ol Mifflintown; one granddaughter, Diana L. Raffa and husband David of Mifflintown; one sister, Esther Weader and husband James Sr. of McAlisterville; and one brother, Clayton Dean Yeater and wife Mary Evelyn of McAlisterville.
ln addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Yeater and wife Alice, Erma Wall and her husbands Gerald Stydinger and Eugene Wall, Pauline Kramer and husband Wayne; and two nephews, Norman Yeater and Daniel Yeater.
Mrs. Geedey was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, and traveling, but her greatest joy came from spending time and going to visit with her family and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating.
Interment followed at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Nook.
