OBITUARY for BETTY T. DAUGHENBAUGH
Betty T. Daughenbaugh, 88. formerly of Port Royal, PA, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown, PA.
Born May 25, 1926 in Port Royal, she was the daughter of the late W. E. and Orpha (Stuber) Towsey.
Her husband, Melvin L. Daughenbaugh, preceded her in death May 15, 2010.
Surviving are: one sister Gladys Hosterman of Naples, FL.
Preceding her in death were: brother, William E. “Bud” Towsey Jr.; two sisters, Jean Erwin and Helen Shope.
Betty was a 1944 graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School, Port Royal; and a graduate of Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
She was a registered nurse and worked for 30 years for the Chrysler Corp., Twinsburg, OH.
Mrs. Daughenbaugh was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, as well as her college alumni association, and the American Nursing Association.
Her funeral was held Monday, August 18, at Juniata Memorial Park Mausoleum, Granville Township Mifflin County, with Rev. Charles L. Hershberger officiating.
Rex Funeral Home of Port Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
