DAVID BLANEY (born October 24, 1962 in Hartford Township, Trumbull County, Ohio) wins his second feature at Port Royal in 1984. Dave drove with the World of Outlaws (and won the series championship in 1995) He later went on to NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series. (Flagman Bob Hockenberry can be seen to the right of the photo with his hands on his belt.)

JOHNNY GRUM: Two-time Port Royal sprint car champion Johnny Grum passed away on January 27, 2012. Grum was track champ in 1969 and again in 1975 and he at the time of his death ranked seventh on the all-time Port sprint win list with 47 victories.

EDDIE MCCARDLE was a founding member and first president of Penn Central Racing Association that started the Port Royal Speedway in 1951. He was the first ever points champion and went on twice more to earn the title.

JIMMY SPENCER captured his first racing win in the Late Model division at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway in 1976, and won Rookie of the Year honors from the legendary Shangri-La (N.Y.) Speedway in the asphalt Modified division three years later.
