Hannah Rice was a daughter of Jacob R. and Elizabeth (Arnold) Rice. She was born January 14, 1826 in Walker Twp. and died May 31, 1895 in Turbett Twp., PA. She was married to Samuel R. McMeen and they had the following children: William E. McMeen, Margaretta J. McMeen, George Irvin McMeen, John Arnold McMeen, Elizabeth A. McMeen, Sarah "Sadie" McMeen, Mary Bell McMeen, Elmer Ellsworth McMeen, Ida Catherine McMeen, Hannah Albert McMeen.
