Frank "Snakes" THOMAS

Unsure when or where "Snakes" was born, but he lived much of his adult life in Port Royal. He worked at the horse stables that existed on the fairgrounds and was in charge of exercising the horses that would run on the fairgrounds racetrack.

Well known in town, "Snakes" supposedly got his nickname because if he consumed too much alcohol he would claim that he saw snakes.

I remember talking to Frank when I was a child. Don't know where he was born, but he said he could remember when his parents were slaves.
