Rhoda McCahan was the daughter of Charles Marley and Annie (Oberholtzer) McCahan. Rhoda was born December 11, 1905 and died December 8, 1988. She married Alton J. Kepner.

OBITUARY OF RHODA M KEPNER

Rhoda M Kepner, 82, of 502 Milford St, Port Royal, died on Thursday, December 8, 1988, at the Lewistown Hospital.

Born Dec 11, 1905, in Milford Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Elizabeth (Oberholtzer) McCahan. Her husband, Alton J Kepner died Dec 17, 1986

Surviving are: sons, Ralph M Kepner, Port Royal RD1, Earl M Kepner, Belleville RD2, brother and sister, Walter McCahan and Laentena Shelley, both of Port Royal; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs Jane Book, in 1958.

She was a 1925 graduate of the Port Royal High School and a graduate of Juniata College, Huntingdon.

She retired after 30 years of service as an elementary school teacher in Juniata County

She was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, Women of the ELCA of the church, and the Juniata County Retired Teachers Association.

Services were held at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal with the Rev Robert R Clark officiating. Interment was in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
