OBITUARY for CHARLES REESE GAUL

CHARLES REESE GAUL, 78, of Camp Hill, PA, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

Born November 12, 1930 in Mifflin, he was a son of the late C. Reese and Mildred (Ernest) Gaul.

His wife of 57 years, Doris (Houtz) Gaul, whom he married December 8, 1951, survives.

Also surviving are: two sons, Mark Gaul and wife Marjorie of Rochester, NY, and Timothy Gaul of Chambersburg; a daughter-in-law, Clover Sue Gaul of Chambersburg; one sister, Vivian Switzer of Port Allegheny; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Steven, Bryan and Kendra.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Joseph Gaul, Richard Gaul and Benjamin Gaul.

He graduated from Tuscarora Valley High School in 1948.

Mr. Gaul was in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea .

Charles worked as a salesman for various food brokers.

Mr. Gaul was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne; American Legion Post #143, New Cumberland; and the Juniata Gun Club.

He loved to hunt.

His funeral will be today, Wednesday, December 17, 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne with Rev. D. Evan Houck officiating. Interment and a graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.

Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, has care of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5O9 Hummel Ave., Lemoyne, PA 17043.
