OBITUARY for KIMBRA D. ‘KIM’ SHEARER

PORT ROYAL - Kimbra D. "Kim" Shearer, 49, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at her home outside of Port Royal, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 18, 1964, in Lewistown, she is a daughter of Lee A. Zeiders, of Mifflintown, and the late Mildred L. (Kahley) Zeiders.

In addition to her father, she is survived by: her beloved husband of 32 years, Steven M. Shearer, whom she married on Nov. 21, 1981; two sons, Andrew M. Shearer and wife, Nikki, of Thompsontown, and Anthony A. Shearer and fiance, Laura M. Sheets, of Mifflintown; two granddaughters: Aubrey and Makenzie Shearer; one sister Darlene Hildebrand and husband, Barry, of McAlisterville; and two brothers, Steve Huffman and Ron Huffman.

She graduated from Juniata High School in 1982. She was a homemaker and helped her husband with their family business, Shearer Heating and Air.

She was a member of Turbett Grange #781 and the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bowling League. She attended First Baptist Church.

Kim was a dedicated wife, mother, and Nana, who loved animals, especially her dog, Pepper. She also enjoyed reading, and collecting koala bears, but spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, Mifflintown, with Pastor Ronald Shupe, Pastor Phillip Persing, and Mr. Brent Knepp officiating. Interment will follow in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

There will be a viewing on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church and also one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions in Kimbra's name may be made to the First Baptist Church, 23964 Rt. 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059 to be used as Kim requested.
