602 Market Street was both the residence and potographic studio of Paul Smith for many years until his retirement.

Photographer Paul Smith had a Photographic Studio in Port Royal for over forty years. David Lee operated Juniata Photo Studio.

The following note appeared in the Port Royal Times of Jan. 8, 1885: "Mr. Felix J. Bernheisel, photographer, has again tacked his shingle in our town. He is doing a very good business. Much better than many towns of a larger size." Another article in the Times: "Mr. David E. Lee, son of Mrs. Frances Lee of Market St., Port Royal has graduated from the New York Institute of Photography of New York City. Long a camera enthusiast, Mr. Lee received training embracing Studio and Home Portraiture, Children, Bridal, Glamour, Theatrical and Character Studies in photography. He plans to open his own studio - the Juniata Photo Service in Mifflintown. He is a graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School, class of '61."
