OBITUARY for MARJORIE TOWSEY BROWN

Marjorie T. Brown, 72, of Doraville, GA, died Friday, March 15, 1996, at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, GA.

Born April 4, 1923, in Indiana County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Sr. and Edna [Bratton] Towsey. Her husband, Clarence R. Brown, survives.

Also surviving are: children, William D. Brown, Norcross, GA, John Thomas Brown, Chamblee, GA, Barbara Brown Van Orsdale, Bartow, FL, Marjorie Brown Mykytyn, Temple, GA; brother and sister, Lawrence B. Towsey, Mifflintown, Jane Towsey Kohler, Port Royal; several grandchildren; several great- grandchildren.

She served as a nurse during World War II in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She retired from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing and Hospital, Atlanta, GA, with 16 years of service.

Services were held Monday at Embry Hills United Methodist Church, Chamblee, GA, with Revs. Julian Brackman and Bill Birch officiating. Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. The H.M. Patterson & Sons Funeral Home, Atlanta, GA, was in charge of arrangements.
