OBITUARY for PALMER C. GARRETT

PALMER C. GARRETT, 74, of Box 2175, Port Royal R.D. 2. died at 1:23 pm Wednesday; September 4 [1985] at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Feb. 7, 1911 in Cochranville, he was a son of the late William T. and Carrie E. Brackbill Garrett. His wife, Erma G. Harris Garrett died March 31, 1980.

Surviving are stepchildren: Donald E. Fike, Port Royal R.D 2, and Mrs. David (Darlene) Warner of Mifflin; a sister, Margaret M. Rhine Newburg; eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two stepsons: William L. Fike who died June 22, 1979 and Richard P. Fike who died May 27, 1981.

The deceased was a retired employee of the Old Port Mill.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown.

Services were held Sunday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal with the Rev. Dr. W. R. Zimmennan officiating. Interment was in New Church Hill Cemetery. Port Royal.
