OBITUARY for LOGAN A. ELLIS

Logan A. Ellis, 36, of Carlisle, formerly of Port Royal, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Born on January 1, 1986 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, he is a son of Greg and Bonny (Harbst) Ellis of Port Royal.

Surviving him are his fiancé, Dawn Gates of Carlisle; a sister, Mallory Ellis and her wife Shalee of Lewisberry; maternal grandmother, Carol Harbst of Port Royal; paternal grandmother, Connie Quigley of Mifflin; maternal uncle, Kerry Harbst and his wife Stacey of Boiling Springs; two nephews, Camryn Clelland, and Lexington Ellis; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his faithful canine companion, Finn.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Abe Harbst and his paternal step grandfather, Lee Quigley.

Mr. Ellis was a 2004 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and received his Associate Degree in 2006 from the Harrisburg Area Community College’s GMAC ASEP program.

Logan began his employment as a Mechanic Intern at Calkins Subaru in Lewistown; next, he was employed as a Master Kia Tech for McCafferty Ford Kia in Mechanicsburg; and now was currently employed as a Property Manager contracted by Randall Tasker for residential housing in the Central Pennsylvania region.

In earlier life, he was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church and currently enjoyed NASCAR; football, especially the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Atlanta Falcons; and was very passionate about guns.

All services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Ellis’ memory can be made to the Friendship Fire Company No. 1, P.O. Box 274, Port Royal, PA 17082 or to an Animal Rescue of the donor’s choosing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
