OBITUARY for ELMER C. SWAB

ELMER C. SWAB, 101, of Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC 67, Mifflin, formerly of Port Royal, died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at Locust Grove.

Born August 6, 1895, in Delaware Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Charles Elmer and Pattie [Guss] Swab.

His wife, A. Marjorie [Koons] Swab, died January 7, 1969.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters.

He was a retired trackman from the Pennsylvania Railroad, where he worked for 20 years. He was also a retired auctioneer.

He was a member of Port Royal Presbyterian Church.

Services were held Saturday at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Richard E. Wright and Rev. Claude Baublitz officiating. Interment was in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
