OBITUARY for THELMA H. LAUVER

Thelma H. Lauver, 97, of the Bridges of Brookline, Mifflintown, and formerly of Port Royal, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Brookline.

Born July 17, 1920, in Walker Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Angeline (Bashore) Hower. On Sept. 30, 1982, her husband, Charles W. “Boss” Lauver, preceded her in death.
Earlier in life she was a member of the Centre Lutheran Church and currently was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church.

She was a 1939 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown.

Mrs. Lauver was a home maker most of her life and at one time was employed at Mrs. Brown’s Candy Kitchen, Mifflintown.

Thelma will always be remembered for her gift of helping people.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Charles Hershberger officiating.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
