Dr. MeeCee Baker is the managing partner and chief operating officer for Versant Strategies, a governmental relations firm specializing in agricultural issues. MeeCee spent more than twenty years behind a teacher’s desk at secondary and post-secondary institutions. She served as a faculty member at Greenwood High School and Penn State University and was the first woman elected as president of the National Association of Agricultural Educators. Later, Baker was appointed to the executive office of the PA Department of Agriculture where she was charged with educational outreach. Baker is known across the Commonwealth as an often published author and frequently requested speaker.

MeeCee is the daughter of the late Bob and Dot (Gilson) Baker and the sister of the late Beth Baker. She has one daughter Elizabeth Baker-Mikesell and still resides on the Baker farm in Turbett Township. The farmstead celebrated 100 years in June of 2012.
