ICE CUTTERS: Prior to the use of home refrigerators, it was common for most homes to have an Ice Box. The ice was delivered twice a week. Ice would be extracted from a dam, creek, or river and stored in an Ice House packed in sawdust. It was from the Ice House that delivery was made to the home ice boxes.
