OBITUARY for EDGAR LUTHER BEAVER

E. LUTHER BEAVER, 85, of Town Land, Port Royal, died Friday, November 26, [1976] in Lewistown Hospital. He was born June 22, 1891, in McAlisterville, a son of the late Thomas and Fannie Sieber Beaver. His widow, the former Ruth Groninger, survives.

Beaver operated a men's clothing store in Port Royal from 1922 until his retirement in 1956. He was a veteran of WWI, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 298 in Mifflintown.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Rex Funeral Home in Port Royal. The Rev. Eugene W. Stambaugh officiated. Burial was in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
