A. Roy Parsons was a son of Archibald and Lulu (Rorer) Parsons. He was a 1939 graduate of Port Royal High School. He became a math teacher in the Juniata County School System. Eventually he returned to teach at Tuscarora Valley High School a number of years.
Roy married Louise Swyers and they had daughters Jean, Linda and Cindy.
